Thanks, Aunt Mary!

Today was Missy's last day at work and Aunt Mary made cupcakes for her farewell reception. They were as yummy as they were pretty! We had one too as generous Aunt Mary made sure there were plenty to go around. Now, if only Missy would let up on the photo-taking already......

No work for Missy......Woohoo! Does that mean bonus time for us? The beach, the park, the great outdoors, here we come!

♫♪♫ Happy days are here again...♫♪♫

Daisy Nightingale

Whenever one of the folks at home falls ill, jie jie becomes our little Florence Nightingale. She will keep company with the patient, unwavering in her attentiveness, never leaving the bedside no matter what activity takes place outside. Her most recent charge was Sissy S who was down with indigestion. Here's what Sissy S has to say:

"Daisy Nightingale is the best company ever. She doesn't do very much but provides the best comfort and respite just by staying by my side. Highly recommended!!!" - Sissy S

Missy Has Two Little Lambs...

Missy has two little lambs,

Little lambs, little lambs.

Missy has two little lambs,

Their fleece is soft as wool.

Missy always calls us her little lambs because poodles do look like lambs from certain angles and our coats are just as soft and cottony and ever-growing like the lamb's! However, as many similarities as we share, poodles and lambs are still quite distinct from each other.

Here's a real lamb.

And here's jie jie in one of her lamb-like moments.

Surely one can tell the difference?

Not the Japanese apparently. Read about how the Japanese mistook lambs for poodles here and enjoy a hearty laugh!

And Daisy Turns Nine!

Jie jie celebrated her 9th Arrival Anniversary on 30 March 2007. This update is very late but as the saying goes, better late than never!

Here are pictures taken at the park the Saturday before when we had an exclusive, intimate celebration with close friends.

There was the birthday cake (Strawberry Custard Cake that Missy baked),
some finger food and we had a bottle of Chardonnay courtesy of Sissy S.

A close-up of the birthday cake.

The delightful pair of sisters!

At The Park

Missy brought jie jie and I to the park today! T-man, Kyra, that's as close to the woods as we get over here in metropolitan Singapore!

"Waverly, you'd better watch where you're going...."

"....lest you walk into a tree!"

All good, jie jie and I check out something together.

Here's me looking pretty amidst the bougainvilleas.

Missy's favourite shot of the day as jie jie and I regard each other.

Checking out some overhanging fruits of a tree.

And finally, here's what Missy calls our "Woodlands Creatures" shot.
She imagines us to be fairytale characters in Enid Blyton's enchanted forest!
Don't you think she's getting carried away?

Missy's Extra: Love the moss!

Bound

Bound,

Jie Jie & I.

In times of happiness and in times of tribulation,

In times of plenty and in times of want,

In times of sickness and in times of health,

To love and to cherish,

For as long as we both shall live.
