Happy 牛 Year!

Happy Lunar New Year of the Ox!

This has been a pretty good Chinese New Year. Missy decided to take me new year's visiting and bought me a pretty new dress to go with!

Here's me getting ready to go new year's visiting in my new dress

and matching ribbons in my hair.

The second day of Chinese New Year is traditionally when relatives come to visit. I kept busy being a good host to everyone!

Here's me on my black swivel chair meeting

and greeting guests with a great big smile!

Cuzzie En was in great form and was official entertainer for the day. Here's her dancing to 'Honey Honey' from the movie 'Mama Mia':

She received a resounding applause for her performance. Then, woozy from the limelight, and in a burst of spontaneity and affection, she threw herself at me, and offered me a kiss, for being her constant friend and supporter:

And then she got a bit overzealous and tried to keep me all to herself for a bit:

Here's wishing everyone:

新年快乐

(Happiness in the new year)

万事如意

(May your course run smooth)

身体健康

(Good health)

and......

My Chinese New Year special,

Shredded Chicken Fillet and Potatoes with Tangerine!

My ang paos!

.....丰衣足食!

(Plenty to eat! To never be in want of anything.)

Waverly Goes To Chinatown

Since Chinese New Year was around the corner, Grandpapa, Grandmama and Missy decided to hit Chinatown to check out the buys at the bazaars and soak in the festive atmosphere, and lucky me got to tag along!

Because I am so cute and good and as Grandpapa said, probably the only shopping and sightseeing dog in Chinatown, I attracted a great deal of attention with lots of 'Hey look!", "Hey, there's a Poodle!', 'So cuuuute!' and people reaching out to touch me as I negotiated through the crowds.

Here's me in Grandmama's arms:

It was good fun so Missy said maybe we can do it again next year!

I'm Four!

Four years ago on this day, little fabulous me was born. So on this very joyous occasion of my glorious 4th birthday, Missy gathered her spirits and threw me a double celebration!

First, we had a dinner party on December 31, 2008 with family. Here's what the folks had:

My baked fish and potatoes with cheese

Here's my Missy and me, and my birthday cupcakes!

On my actual birthday, Missy took me for a romp at the park:

Back home, she had another birthday treat waiting for me:

Behold my Paris Brest!

Can you tell that I am pleased, very pleased?

Missy's Extra: Happy 4th birthday, my baby Waverly! I have only one wish for you - that you may have many happy, healthy returns of the day!
